Since 1989, HIMA publishes ENALIA, the only specialized journal in underwater and nautical archaeology in Greece , which is widely appreciated both in Greece and abroad.

Moreover, within the framework of the project "IRIA: study, publication and dissemination of the wreck at Point Iria", sponsored by the European Commission, HIMA organised an international symposium in the island of Spetses , under the title "The Point Iria wreck. Interconnections in the Mediterranean ca. 1200 BC" (Phelps, et al. 1999). It also organized an exhibition in the Archaeological Museum of Spetses with the cargo from the Iria wreck. This is the first exhibition of an ancient cargo in Greece from a systematic underwater excavation.
